DIY Bathroom Decor

This year I made a goal to start decorating my home in a frugal way.  {You can read my other goals here.}
The first room for my project is my bathroom.
It’s one of my favorite rooms in the house: 1) it’s yellow 2) the tub!
Over the weekend, I finished my first DIY project for it and I’m SO excited to share it with ya’ll!

The breakdown:
1)  I searched Pinterest and Toolerant for some ideas and came across this as my inspiration.
2)  Gathered my supplies:
frame – Family Dollar $5 {already had it}
coloring pencils – already had
printable – made it myself in Microsoft Works
3)  Designed my printable in Microsoft Works with Kristen ITC font and
then made it an outline so I could color in the words myself.
Tutorial here.
4)  Used my coloring pencils to fill in the words and outlined them with the black.
5)  Put the printable in the frame and hang it in its place!
{Monogram tile: Kirklands – a gift}
What do you think?  I’m so proud of it!
And it didn’t cost me anything because I already had the supplies on hand.
First DIY project for 2013 = SUCCESS!
